Policies

This Privacy Policy has been in effect as of 1/15/05.

To help us achieve our goal of providing the highest quality products and customer service in the special events industry, we use information from our interactions with you to improve both our products and our service levels. Because your privacy is important to us, we protect your personal information to ensure that it remains secure.
We may amend our privacy policy as we continue to develop our website, so please refer to this page frequently to find the most current information.

How we collect information

Whenever you conduct business with BBJ La Tavola, through our website or your Regional Sales Office, we obtain certain contact information that we need to complete your transaction. This may include your name, business name, address, telephone number, fax number, or e-mail address.

  •  Upon placing an order with us, your e-mail address is automatically added to our newsletter database so that we may keep you informed about new product additions and other important announcements.
  • Your E-mail address is added to our newsletter database if you specifically request to receive information from us about our products and services, either through the website or through your Regional Sales Office.
  • Your E-mail address is added to our newsletter database if you provided it to us through an industry trade show or magazine information request card.

How we do not collect information

The E-mail a Friend feature sends the information you have requested directly from the webserver to the parties that you designate. That information is not collected or viewed by us and no addresses entered into the E-mail a Friend window are added to our newsletter database.

How we use the information we collect

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:

  • to complete your rental or purchase transactions
  • to provide the services and information you request
  • to notify you about the status of your current or future linen orders
  • to send you our catalogs and brochures by U.S. Mail
  • to advise you of new inventory additions, holiday closure dates, price changes, and other important national or regional news via our monthly e-mail newsletter
  • to improve our inventory selections and level of customer service

Others with whom we share your information

Our annual catalog and other print media are sent through a marketing firm that specializes in bulk U.S. Mail, thereby they are only provided with your name and mailing address. We do not share your e-mail information with anyone outside of BBJ La Tavola. Our monthly newsletter is sent through our internal Marketing Department, so no third-party e-mail distributor is given your e-mail address.

Your choices regarding the use of the information we collect

If you do not wish to receive our monthly e-mail newsletter containing new product announcements, you have the option to ‘unsubscribe’ at any time by replying to the e-mail with the word ‘unsubscribe’ in the subject line.

Please note that many promotions and mailings are completed several weeks in advance, so you may continue to receive a single newsletter or important announcement after you have chosen to unsubscribe. We appreciate your patience in giving us time to carry out your request.

Any questions?

We`ll be happy to provide additional information or answer any questions. Please:

  • Contact your Regional Sales Office
  • Send your question to our webmaster by using the “Client Feedback” feature of our website.

Thank you!

Cookies

To provide visitors with better service, the Site may use “cookies”. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a computer that runs an Internet browser. It can contain information about you, your computer, your browser, your session, the websites you visit, and other information about you or others who use, or have used, the computer or browser you use to access the Internet. The cookies we use, if any, are not linked to any personally identifiable information while using this site unless you have provided us with personally identifiable information by entering such information using this site. You give us that permission any time you enroll for services on this site or identify yourself or the computer you are using through this site. We may use cookies to customize your experience on our site. Most Web browsers accept cookies by default but allow a user to disable them. You may disable cookies by visiting your internet browser settings; however, this may affect how the site displays on your computer.

Any third-party organization to which we may provide links from this site may also use cookies. We have no control over such organizations’ uses of cookies and users should review the privacy policies of such organizations to determine the uses such organizations make of cookies.

Re-marketing

This website uses remarketing services to display advertisements on our behalf. Their services may come from sites such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Adroll, and any other display advertising partner (collectively the “Platform Advertisers”) to advertise on third-party websites to previous visitors to our site. It could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who haven’t completed a task on our site, for example using the contact form to make an inquiry.

Platform Advertisers use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the BBJ La Tavola Linen website. Of course, any data collected will be used in accordance with the BBJ La Tavola Linen’s and Platform Advertiser’s privacy policy. You may disable these cookies using your browser settings. The companies we work with are members of the Network Advertising Initiative. The NAI allows you to limit or opt-out of interest-based advertising by using a tool available at http://optout.networkadvertising.org.

Analytics and Advertising

To provide visitors with better service, the Site may use Analytics software to track the usage activity of the Site. The information collected is anonymous, aggregated data and does not contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII). If, at any time, you choose not to participate in the use of Analytics software, please use your search engines (i.e. Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.) available opt-outs for the web. In addition to basic Analytics software, the Site may also use Re-marketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, or Google Demographics and Interest Reporting from the data obtained through Analytics software.

We use Re-marketing with Google Analytics to advertise online. Third-party vendors, including Google and similar sites, may show our ads on websites across the internet. By using Google Analytics software, we are able to obtain 3rd-party audience data. We use this data to make improvements to the Site and may also utilize Google’s interest-based advertising. Using Google’s Ad Settings, visitors can opt out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads.

We may use Facebook Custom Audiences and Pixels to deliver advertisements to Website Visitors. No personal information is contained or collected as the result of using these pixels.
